As we monitor the rapidly developing COVID-19 situation, our top priority is to maintain the health and safety of our employees, families, communities and customers while executing on our mission to ensure a World Class Customer Experience and World Class Service. We take these responsibilities seriously.
While our offices remain open, Vision is fully prepared to deliver our services with employees taking proper precautions on job sites and through those working remotely. For our remote teammates, Vision has implemented the latest communication and collaboration technologies including but not limited to RingCentral for conference calls and virtual meetings as well as cloud-based productivity tools like Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and Teams. In addition, we recently invested in an upgraded infrastructure where we have enough VPN capacity and bandwidth to support remote work for an order of magnitude of 10 times more than our current employee head count.
The Vision team wants to assure you that we do not anticipate disruptions in service to our customers. We continue to monitor this situation closely and wanted to take a moment to summarize some of the things we are doing to keep you safe and to keep your projects on track.
- We are following guidance from the CDC to drive our decisions related to the virus, encouraging all office-based employees around the country to work remotely if possible.
- We are instructing our employees to take proper hygienic steps as outlined by the CDC when interfacing with customers and fellow employees.
- We have established a support structure for our employees in roles that do not have an option to work from home to ensure they can follow public health guidance or stay at home for their families if the need arises.
- We are continually reminding our employees of individual actions they can take to help curb the spread of COVID-19, including washing hands more often, actively supporting social distancing, avoiding close contact with people who are sick, covering coughs and sneezes and we have increased the frequency and intensity of cleaning and sanitization efforts.
